Behave 2023 - 7th European Conference on Behaviour and Energy Efficiency

Save the date! On 28^th and 29^th November, Behave 2023, the 7^th European Conference on Behaviour and Energy Efficiency by the European Energy Network (EnR) European Energy Network – A voluntary network of European energy agencies (enr-network.org) will take place in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The theme of this year’s conference will be ‘Scaling-up Behaviour Change in the light of the energy and climate crisis’.

As an important conference of national energy agencies in Europe, Behave provides a unique forum for policymakers, academia, industry and practitioners to share ideas and experiences in promoting effective solutions for reducing CO₂ emissions and climate mitigation.

Behavioural and life-style changes are becoming increasingly important. Users’ actions are key to the success of the energy transition and behavioural insights cannot be omitted from energy policies. However, neither governments, nor industry, business, nor academics nor citizens have all the sufficient know-how or insights into what is needed to change our behaviour. If we really want to make an impact, it is time for us to work together - to take a multi-disciplinary approach.

Behave 2023 will focus on scaling-up behaviour change in the light of the energy and climate crisis and is expected to take on board outcomes from the UN-Climate conference (COP28) due to be held the week prior to Behave 2023.
